About Liz :)
Liz is originally from Long Island, New York where she grew up doing dance and theater. From a young age she competed in both dancing and singing winning several awards before graduating high school.
For college, Liz attended Oklahoma State University, where she received a comprehensive degree in theater design and performance, with a minor in dance. During her time in Oklahoma, she had the opportunity to work in almost every area of theater and dance! She sound designed several plays, audio engineered many musicals, choreographed and performed in dance performances, acted in plays, built costumes for shows, created sets and participated in light hang and focus calls.
After receiving her degree, Liz moved to New Hampshire where she started working at Phillips Exeter Academy (PEA). At PEA, Liz sound designed and engineered all of their theater and dance productions, directed shows, choreographed for many dance productions, and taught theater tech, dance and public speaking classes. She was also the faculty advisor and producer of the schools social justice theater show called UnSilenced.
In between school years, Liz has worked at Prescott Park Arts Festival, Rochester Opera House and other venues as an audio engineer. She has also taught summer theater and dance intensives and camps.
Currently, Liz is a dance teacher and choreographer at Berwick Academy, where she teaches part time and fills the rest of her time with freelance work in dance and theater.
Some non work related things about Liz are she absolutely loves dogs and has two of her own. She loves watching college football Go Pokes! And her favorite things about living in New England are how many states you can visit in one day and the various types of outdoor landscapes to explore:)
